My Beloved Soul
My son knew what it would take to change peoples hearts. He knew that in order to save you in every way, it would take his sacrifice on the cross. He knew the depth of your hurt and your unforgiveness. And so he gave himself up to the crowds, lived out his words of love for you right to the end. Walk lightly. Let go of your tiresome burdens. My son gave his life so that you might enjoy the forgiven life. Don’t let him down.
“Just Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you; and these men have known that you sent me. To them I have revealed your name, and I will continue to reveal it so that your love for me may live in them, and I may live in them.” John 17: 25,26
MY BELOVED SOUL
Put your trust in me. Say your prayers, ask what you want, what you need, ask for all your loved ones, for their needs, ask for miracles, then go about your daily work and leave everyone there resting in my love. I am their helper. I am their savior. Your work is to find your peace. You cannot be peaceful if you carry all your worries and cares and never leave them with me.
I am the way. I know and love all whom you bring to me and I am never apart from them. So go on and live fully this grace filled day I give you. Leave your anxieties and fears with me. Be the joyful one I see in your heart, the one I formed in your mother’s womb.
My Beloved Soul
Will you ever trust that I am taking care of you?
When your thoughts run wildly into fearful places and your prayers seem weak and not at all worthwhile.... when you are not yourself and wonder where that person went... when your worries overwhelm you and your readings seem to bring no comfort.... remember that in all of those places of darkness my gentle voice is whispering words of comfort. Go into the quiet and you will hear me and know I am taking care of you. No matter how your feelings trick you, trying to make you believe you are apart from me, they are lies. You are my beloved soul. Always and everywhere.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom should I fear? The Lord is my life’s refuge; of whom should I be afraid?...........
Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear. Though war be waged upon me, even then will I trust.” Psalm 27: 1, 3
Doing good, being kindhearted and compassionate to others is a saintly way of life. But that way of life must be balanced with being good, kindhearted and compassionate with yourself. Stop thinking that saying no once in a while is a selfish act. I am calling you to freedom from all the “shoulds” and “have to’s” that you have allowed into your life. When you can let go of those lies, then and only then will you know what your soul needs for nourishment. I am sending you the grace you will need to discern your truth.
God help us to live slowly: To move simply: To look softly: To allow emptiness: To let the heart create for us. Amen - Prayer by Michael Leunig
Why do you try so hard?
Why do you put so much pressure on yourself about so many things?
The only pressure you need to feel is my loving touch. And that touch is gentle and life giving. I want you to live slower, let your life flow and unfold gracefully. Don’t try to prove yourself perfect.
Take care of yourself, my beloved soul.
“In prayer.....come empty.......do nothing.”
~St. John of the Cross
In every question, in every emotion, in every moment of despair, trust in me. Believe in my guidance. Know that I am the answer in your questions; I am the peace in your emotions; I am your comfort in desperate times. I want you to know that I am guiding you always, even when you can’t let go. Grasp onto my hand and let me show you the way. I will lead you in everything.
“Prayer of Protection”
The light of God surrounds me; The love of God enfolds me; The power of God protects me; The presence of God watches over me. Wherever I am, God is.
Saint James, pray for us that we may be willing to leave everything to follow Jesus as you did. Help us to become special friends of Jesus as you were. Amen
